The town of Bayambang is in the central part of Southern Pangasinan . The town got its name from a plant called “Balambang” which grew in abundance in the place during the olden days.

New Municipal Annex Soon To Rise

Responding to the growing needs of the Municipality to provide more spacious office for more effective delivery of services to the Bayambangueños, the administration of Hon. Ricardo M. Camacho will replace the old Annex Building with a new three-storey building. The Engineering Office under Engr. Eddie A. Melicorio has started demolishing the old building to pave the way for its reconstruction.

The new building will house the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall with individual office of Municipal Councilors, a conference room, offices of Social Welfare and Development, Fisheries and Agricultural Services, Department of Agrarian Reform, Population Office, Office of Senior Citizen's Affair, Bureau of Fire Protection office and a garage for the Fire Trucks.

Funds to start the construction will come from the Office of Mayor Ricardo M. Camacho whose prudent financial management has enabled him generate savings. Other funds will be sourced out from local and national politicians who have committed their support upon the request of the Municipal Mayor.
