Mayor Ric Camacho Extends Financial Assistance to 300 College Scholars

In an unprecedented act of unselfishness and sincere concern to reach out to the needs of his constituents, Bayambang's most admired Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ricardo M. Camacho, has extended financial assistance to some three hundred college students (mostly freshmen). They are composed of students taking up BS Education, BSICT , AB Business Management, AB Public Administration, BS Nursing and AB English at the Pangasinan State University – Bayambang Campus.

During the orientation meeting of the recipient – scholars held on August 18, 2008 at the Municipal Multi-Purpose Covered Court, Mayor Ric Camacho announced that his office will shoulder their tuition fees. He further declared that if funds still warrant, he would include the payment of their miscellaneous fees as well as the provision of school supplies by the next semester.

Presided over by Dr. Romulo M. Velasquez, the Mayor's Consultant on Administrative Management and Special Concerns, the affair was attended by the recipient – scholars who are all natives of Bayambang together with their parents/guardians.

Mayor Ric admonished all the recipients to have strong determination and focus in their studies as he shared his various challenging experiences when he was an engineering college student at the Saint Louis University in Baguio City .
